Yes, constructive criticism is encouraged here.
What’re your thoughts on his points? They seem long term concerns, not short term systemic risks like ust.
2. The world is already designed this way. People lose for everyone else to win. There is more "profit" than "loss" because of fiat production from governments, but overall the average profit is $0 in the real world too, don't you think? We will never all be rich, but also we will all never be poor.
Yes, I’ve been thinking about what in economics makes something not zero sum. So, you get to the root of the economy and it’s simple an energy system. So, ‘the pie grows’ when the harness of energy by humans grows. We measure that as GDP, but that can undoubtedly be a poor metric. I’ve heard of BTC is reserve currency, it would grow at the rate of the economy, which would be an accurate measure of humans harnessing energy, which is a direct metric of human advancement. It would concurrently create economic abundance given prices would fall over time. 👍
Is there really anything that isn't a zero-sum game?
But in respect to measuring human advancement, I would agree with the thought that our ability to gather and use energy is a reasonable measurement.
Great thoughts. I shared your thoughts with my friend Paco if you’re ok with it. It’s all thoughtful discussion among good faith peeps imo. Hope you see it the same. 🙏
Kardashev scale basically.
Yes, the measurement I was looking for.
Hmm... I'd like to take a look at this group. Could you share it?
