Hi all, I was watching a video about Constellation (my

latest hobby haha :)) and the guy in the video said he is running a node and paying $40 per month to a third party website for the processing. I also have a node but don't pay anything....do some nodes have to pay for processing power and others don't? He also mentioned the rewards he was getting and it was pretty much the same as what I'm getting so I'm super confused 🤔

Guy in the post is talking about a virtual machine needed for testnet nodes. Soft node staking is not testnet, rather free tokens no vm needed.

I just staked 500k DAG on Lattice and I'm getting rewards.....didn't do anything else so I assume I'm not running a testnet node haha

There are testnet rewards as well as other benefit...

I see. I do recall hearing that some nodes were trying to get better reputations over time for some reason (still trying to learn), so does this apply only to testnet nodes?

Yes you are correct. Not running a node YET. But with those 2 bundles of 250K dag, you could when either testnet spot opens and or mainnet launches for nodes
