friendly blockchain?
Is simplifying the account creation/resource management/wallet etc…the main issue?
Personally, I think so.
• account creation on first transfer, • auto suggested buying of missing resources (sdks, cosginers) • webauthn signers
I think something like Basic v Advanced option for wallets, and the basic wallet says “press here to stake X EOS is to power up your account” Between RAM, CPU etc it’s impossible for grandma to figure out what she’s supposed to do
check out anchor, its good enough as it is
I heard anchor was a ponzi!
The "basic" wallet should to a big extend cover resource for the user otherwise it's already getting complicated as a regular user doesn't know what staking is or why it's needed.
I use anchor. I don’t think it is user friendly enough for most people. Wombat is the most user friendly imo
Exactly. “Basic” requires you to “stake” X number of EOS
the fee menu is not friendly enough?
For me, sure. For grandma, no
nobody uses it anymore after the luna crash
you literally just click yes once
your granda should definitely not use anchor
Grandma is into Defi and trading shitcoins?
Say what you want about Solana, but random people who I’d say aren’t “into crypto” love it because it’s so easy
they especially like that they can't use it for months
they love it because it got shilled to them
Yeah I understand and agree with this, but a huge reason it’s successfully shilled is because new people go “wow this is so easy I can set up my friends too”
I only use desktop Anchor, can you perform a basic send or request a payment/receive from within the Anchor mobile app or do you need to use another service and sign authorization with anchor mobile app?
Mobile requires a separate app, e.g. Unicove. We have a button inside Anchor to launch Unicove and a bunch of features planned to make that process easier. The idea is Unicove is going to be your “training wheels” so you understand that Anchor is for signing, and external apps is what you use to actually do things.
Also worth noting - desktop 2.0 will require separate apps as well. There won’t be in-app features like you see today.
But I like the features... Interacting with contracts is a lot simpler when done through Anchor instead of bloks.
Nothing to say we can’t build a similar interface into Unicove. We’ve talked about it a couple times, just a matter of priorities.
