Has anyone yet proposed building a 'crypto spend' card on

constellation? An L_0 stable coin is built and I have the option of feelessly trading my dag rewards to a stable coin and spending it via a tangible paypass card which then earns me rewards back in dag for using - If an alpha brain can create this for me that'd be much appreciated 🙂

Good question! So we don't know ALL of the project...

The suspense is killing me, or at least keeping me up at night 😂 so I understand that the launch is a rollout rather than a ‘flip of the switch’ but at what point (if ever) will it be completely open source and permissionless for anyone to build on? Will we see an explosion of state channels as soon as mainnet 2 rolls out or will the team slowly assist the building out of each state channel?

Frankly, I think Constellation shoukd stay well clear of stablecoins themselves. Instead just use the ones available and use your own choice. Paxos and TUSD one seem most legit at moment, also BUSD is by Paxos.

Why do you think constellation should stay away from stables? You don’t think having a stable coin within hgtp would be beneficial for the ecosystem?

There is always a place for algorithmic/crypto backed stable coins on each chain (just not crappy ones like UST, USDD.. hopefully 😂). These will probably be separate state channels / companies, not associated with the Constellation team. Anyone is free to build what they want on Constellation, so if someone wants to build a stable coin, they are free to do so 😊 Probably, the more popular stablecoins like USDT/USDC will also become available as more and more DeFi apps will be deployed on DAG, that is up to tether/circle or any other company that has a stable coin and want to make it available on DAG. I don't see how that can be a bad thing

As for what each state channel intends to do (business offerings), it's up to them to disclose and not up to Constellation. Last count we knew of over 60 businesses ready OR nearing being ready to launch on Constellation. Open Source? I don't know the actual date but I do know many of the dev docs will be released at some point around mainnet 2.0 launch. Whether that's early, midway or later: no idea and has to do with the health of the network. Just got to stay tuned!

Good question! So we don't know ALL of the projects launching but it is possible! Some of them are in stealth mode until launch of mainnet 2.0
