Crypto is a pretty toxic space. One two trade on Reddit was orchestrated by nano holders after coti posted a comparison picture between both projects which upset them. It's all a bit toxic. But having read all of it and heard both sides and if all of their VCs and cardano are investing half a million etc I'm happy it's all ok

I agree, crypto is a very toxic place, I've been in crypto for years and with cardano since late 2018. Just for clarity on the half a million investment from Cardano for people reading. That was IOHK that invested half a million from their cFund around coti pay. IOHK have a pot of money they called their centralised fund, which they will decide where it goes to help grow the cardano platform. Other forms of funds can come from a decentralised fund, also known as catalyst. Although this still has an element of control by IOG, the community can vote for projects requesting funds

Yes, it's the cFund that invested 500k $ into COTI indeed. And COTI is also involved with project Catalyst (https://medium.com/cotinetwork/coti-catalyst-update-632d3c1c6041). You'd think Cardano would do their due dilligence with their close partners. COTI developed the ADAPay solution and they have been chosen to be the official djed issuer/implementor, which is pretty huge. Still it's important to do your own research about the team and make your own conclusions. We are open for any criticism in this community, so if you do have any concerns, you are free to discuss it here (as long as it's not baseless FUDding) 😊
