On Bittrex one cannot buy DFI directly with USD meaning

Question

On Bittrex one cannot buy DFI directly with USD meaning

that people using USD first have to transfer to another currency (euro, BTC, ETH….) and as such having to bear multiple transfer costs. Any particular reason why DFI can’t be bought directly with USD on Bittrex?

Hi Daniel, I use Bittrex, with USD on my balance I first buy For example ETzh and then with ETH I can buy DFI When I have Euro I can buy immediately DFI

Well you are correct. I always use EUR, but I knew that the option for USD was available, but actually, not for DFI. Strange, considering that there are smaller cap and more unkonwn coins than DFI that are allowed to be purchased with USD. Don't seem to find a pattern at first sight for such. Definitelly a choice from the platform. Maybe because Bittrex is not allowed in many US locations, therefore they disabled or not even considered the DFI purchase with USD directly?

Hey, as far as I know, no exchange has a direct USD-DFI market. Most exchanges offering USDT-DFI and BTC-DFI markets. Some other exchanges also offering Euro and ETH. You may have a look https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/defichain#markets Be aware, some exchanges like bybit only offering DFI as ERC20 token, which needs to be wrapped into native DFI via Cake.

Hi Kassius yes you are correct, I just brought it up because I find it quite easy buying DFI directly with euro and thought it might be good to have the same possibility for USD (on Bittrex) as it would avoid having to transfer the USD to another currency which comes always with a (minor) cost 😉

Yeah, you are right, it would be easier for the users. I don't know the background, but maybe it is easier for the Exchanges to offer only crypto-crypto markets. Maybe it will work out in the future and there will be USD-DFI directly. Let's keep fingers crossed 😀👍

Strange, I always use bittrex and it works wonders, fiat and crypto. Are you using bittrex or bittrex global? Reason for not being able to use USD? The only one I see is regulatory for your residence area, don't see any other possibility
