You always needed to transfer your dfi from the app to the real ones if you send them to another exchange and you always see an UTXO with real coins

Do you mean tokenDFI? Yes I think tokenDFI and utxoDFI are summarized on defiscan as DFI

What is utxoDFI?

Just a different form of DFI on the DEX. Both are basically the same, and you can convert between one or the other in the wallet as necessary for the transaction you want to do Basically Token DFI is what you get from rewards and UTXO DFI is what you use to pay transactions, fees and other things. For most general users, you should not need to worry about it. Your total DFI is the same, and whenever you perform a transaction on the LW that requires a conversion from Token to UTXO, the wallet will do it for you as well, and the wallet will always leave that 0.1 DFI in reserve to make sure you have sufficient UTXO to pay for fees. For example if you have 24 DFI and you want to withdraw, the wallet will only allow you to withdraw 23.9 DFI max.

Also, if you click on your DFI balance on the LW, you will see a little faq button that gives you a little info as well.
