I only became interested in this project because of the phone app. Unfortunately now my DVPN is still locked for nearly one more year ...I would gladly sell and walk even at 80% loss.
The new app is nothing more than a bait and switch. The outrageous subscription price represents a roughly 1000% markup, while stakers and node runners get essentially nothing.I would not support that with 1 cent. On top of that, all the DVPN already paid for subscriptions, fortunately a small amount, was taken.
Why would someone use an unreliable app like this over cheaper, faster and more reliable central services like tunnelbear? To feed Mr. Litreev with a 1000% markup? No thanks. Another web 3 opportunity lost. As to the PC VPN apps, hardly anyone needs or uses them...I certainly don't need them.99% is mobile. I guess this project is now de facto dead.
Luckily my investment was small, so my absolute loss is very small, even though my percentage loss is the largest ever. At least I knew this was a risky project with only a small chance to succeed from day 1.
Why you didn't continue work on your own app? It was your purpose long time ago.
I'm not a member of the team or the project, but to answer your question the Sentinel app is being revived. Development starts at the beginning of April. All major mobile and desktop platforms are getting releases.
