rewards for top 100 validators to those outside the top 100 ??
Also what’s the average amount $$ to get into the top 100 ? 🙏
You can see all numbers and rewards on https://cspr.live Simply choose any validator you like and check the "Rewards" tab. Same if you select a delegator and check the "Rewards" tab again.
Is the self stake what they went in with ? Is that the measure of how much it takes to be in top 100 ? And how much more ‘as form of reward’ do top 100 get ??
The measurement for the top 100 is the total amount of tokens the validator has staked with them.
The validators get the fees they charge from the rewards of the delegators staking with them. So if they charge 1% fee they are taking that from the 10.74% the delegators are receiving.
There is no “reward” for being too 100. You have to be in the top 100 to have a working node that receives rewards.
Check the website for numbers and examples. Self-stake is a mix of what the node operator set as a bid and what is counted from your affiliated accounts. Maybe also what a validator can delegate himself to himself - not sure on the last one. If 100% would be staked there would be 8% APY but this is very unlikely. For the fees: 5% fees means if the delegator gets 100 CSPR he gets 95 CSPR and the validator will keep 5 CSPR for running the network infrastructure, supporting delegators and so on. What counts to be in the top 100 is total stake though: all delegated amounts count here as well.
Oh so how many people choose to stake with you determines your rank ??
How many tokens you have staked with you determines it.
Of course Yes I see A few people could have a very large amount of tokens - placing the validator in the top 100
Yes that's correct, its not the amount of people per say, but the amount of tokens.
If the accounts are registered with the account standard than the validator's self stake can be calculated with these delegated accounts. I do that on my validator with 3 other delegator accounts. This is listed under Affiliated Acounts on the Validator Detail page.
Yeah, doing that as well. I think it was just not possible to assign the same account to 2 nodes IIRC which is debatable if it would make sense or not.
