Little tip in regards to a "cold wallet". You could easily download Koala WaIIet and backup your 24 word recovery phrase, mark down your KDA receive address and then just delete the application from your device. Then you have a cold wallet totally offline. Then if you need to access the funds you can just install the app and restore your phrase. This is a free way to do the same thing wallets like Ledger do as even they have to connect to the internet at some points.
