not at all...BP selection on EOS is clearly broken, has been for some time, and we're seeing the results. BPs that actually deliver value and services to the network leave. Do we need to do another run through of how many socks are bleeding us out right now?
Bloks are produced ? Yes Antelope software is actively improved ? Yes We have IBC ? Yes We will have IF this year ? Yes Projects are funded through pomelo, Eden, direct grant ? Yes ENV has started ? It seems yes
all good dude, all is well in EOS land...lol...🤑
Not all because EOS lost its initial investment of 4B$ your boss run away with the money with B1
my boss tried to convert his "money with B1" into EOS tokens...but you don't want to hear or believe this which is why you've ignored me saying this already. and who in their right mind expected all $4B to be directed solely to EOS? really?
Only degens. The rest of us just want the $1bn that was a “formal commitment”
and how much of that do you think B1 spent towards that $1B. Zero?
What do you mean by his money ? You mean the portion of the 4B$ that they stole ?
I can’t put a number on it but much less than $1bn
I quoted you with the "money" part, and I don't think B1 "stole" anything. We gave it to them in a highly speculative situation with the hopes of profits. Thats not theft.
the ico was still ongoing when Brendan literally stood up on stage and said $1bn was to be reinvested
ok well at least you're sensible to not say its $0, which many seem to think. Clearly they did some shit...was it useful, was there efficient use of capital deployment...IMO no not really. Was there still a chance that B1 could contribute to EOS, yes, until about the beginning of this year I felt that to be the case. I don't any longer.
I'm glad vesting tokens to B1 (or surrogate Brock) was stopped. B1 simply forsake to continue development. Chris, chill out. I do agree the ENF & ENV should work a lot on transparancy (what happened with the ~24million EOS going to Kraken yesterday? And pareto on BP voting is not ideal too.
I recall, seen the vid. That moment was a big deciding factor for me to participate in the ICO. I lost money too.
Cool 👍
They stole the money because they kept the money for themselves. If they had deployed the money into EOS ecosystem then it wouldn't be a theft. You are funny, if I give you money to repair my car then you found out that you don't have the skills to repair the car then you give me back the money. B1 decided to keep the money and do nothing for EOS this is a theft.
One of the most level headed people that ever talk. Keep being you sir.
they delivered software...thats ultimately what we paid for. The rest was non-binding, non-contractual commitments. Ultimately its on us for believing them. Does it still suck...lol...f'n right it does. I lost a lot of money too, but I know I made the bet, and I lost. I also think B1 did do some shit with that $1B...it just didn't really go nearly as far as I or anyone else here had hoped.
Thus stopping handing out the EOS that was vested was absolutely the right call to make.
maybe...I think Helios was going to do good things with those funds as a VC...we'll never know.
We'll never know.
No we paid for a lot more then software, and what's crazy is that they used voice as a means of pumping price so that people like novogratz and their other insiders could get out
ya B1 June and Voice was such a shit show...I make no B1 apologies for that.
This is bullshit, just look at other crypto projects how the founders are working hard for their projects. B1 got 4B$ to build the EOS ecosystem and you are saying that they did enough by using 10M$ to code eosio and then they can keep the rest in their poket your boss included! You are just crazy if you believe this 😂
that was more in response to your fixing car analogy. They did the bare minimum that we expected in terms of what the ICO actually promised.
The be surprised if everybody hate them for stealing their money. I was there I can tell that eosio was not the only thing they said they will deliver
the lesson I hope we've all learned is verbal commitments aren't great to base investment decisions on. I agree a lot was said, and a lot less seemed to be done.
