come?
Xrp is a non security. That’s the law now.
jepp i saw this - but you think more shady shit will come from SEC? you never know with these sheeps, i just feel like it's no quiet over yet
Well they are saying that direct sales from ripple to institutions were a security. They owe a fine. That will be taken to a higher court by ripple.
okay thank you man, do you think ripple can fight this? i mean it dont really matter for us but just trying to soak info here and learn. i been buying xrp since late 2019 but i lost track after following everything for a long time because i got tired of everything. so much bullshit from the sheeps higher up and it felt like a never ending case
Ripple can and will fight this.
i hope they win everything the sec is shady i am from europe and we do not like them, i speak for many. i hope all goes well many people have been sticking to ripple for long time through hard times, the people deserve and ripple
It doesn’t matter if they win or not bro. We’re not here for the ripple stock lol. We’re here for XRP. That’s the only thing we need to get the W in court. And we got it.
yes i know and i am with you! but higher up in the US pick what they want its pretty clear, xrp has been held back by shady sheeps higher up controlled by the people above. i dont like anything with the financial regulation in the US its corrupted and controlled for many years. i am glad ripple is all over europe and asia it does not matter what happen in the US any more either way
Let us hope that Ripple should burn alot of xrp from their escrow to settle for that
it's not that simple
It is a non security. That’s the law. TF you talking about?
it was one judge's interpretation. but there will be an appeal by the SEC. and also it's not a law, it's just a precedent that would in theory prevent the SEC from pursuing the issue further.
Appeals can take years. XRP is good to go. Ripple will pay a fine. Im sure the lawmakers will pass bills regarding all cryptos not being securities.
You are saying it like its easy to achieve a legal precedent, Ripple has legal clarity, that means they are the only digital assets that is legal in the US, you can appeal it but they still have to honor the judges decision
it's not 'legally' recognized as anything other than not being a security. not being a security doesn't make it something legally recognized by the government
Judge torres works for the governemnt
Yes, it is legally recognized by the government because the judge already claimed it as non security, that means its a commodity and it falls to commodity’s department, The sec doesnt recognize it as legal because its not their jurisdiction The sec is not the only department by the Government you know
sounds as if you think being sued by the SEC and winning is better than not having ever been sued in the first place. i don't see it that way
Yes it does. It’s the first coin with regulatory clarity. You talking some b.s
Yes, because theres no legal clarity, the lawsuit gives ripple and XRP the clarity that SEC has no jurisdiction over them You can say what ever opinion you want, but XRP is now free from the SEC jurisdiction
This is correct. It will be declared "something" on a legal basis per the US government for US residents but that something will not be a security and it remains to be seen.
Show your evidence that its not the first coin with regulatory clarity.
Apart from the fact that this term is often used w/o clarity about what it even means (feels like a marketing term?), things aren't as clear as many think they are compared to 3 ago https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2023/07/14/we-already-have-regulatory-clarity-for-crypto/
That's an opinionated article. The only actual law, is the one that was just passed. On XRP. It's not a security, but not only that, it's the first coin with regulatory clarity.
Yeah, and it illustrates to wait extent everything is still up for interpretation. Besides, if 'regulatory clarity' would already be here for xrp, and if it would be extremely relevant for it's success, we should be at least at 1 USD now, don't you think
I would retype the same thing I wrote but it's not worth my time.
I think you've given us all "clarity".. That yer clueless, just chill and quit whilst yer miles behind🤡
Hop off my nuts. No one was talking to you.
no law was passed
judges don't make laws. congress does
i appreciate you acknowledging the facts
You talking some b.s. it’s law that xrp is a non security.
so you believe judges can pass laws?
Go to Stuart’s twitter and see what he has to say about xrp. He literally states “as a matter of law”
a matter of law is not the same as passing a law
Amazing story bro. I’m done with this convo.
great. clearly these concepts are too advanced for you at this time. you could consider a government 101 class
Yeah u didnt see that way because u didnt know much about legislation. Ripple winning is helping other crypto projects, other exchangers etc
event ID 116085 US House Committee on Finance. The Future of Digital Assets: Providing Clarity for the Digital Asset Ecosystem. Aaron Kaplan of Prometheum states how easy it was for Prometheum to obtain SEC approval.
Took you like 6 hours to come up with this? Lmao. Nothing there states that XRP doesn't have clarity. Also like I said it's the FIRST coin with regulatory clarity.
I have been at work. I did not post anything that says XRP doesn't have clarity. But I did post evidence that another project had clarity before XRP. It's 4 hours long I am sure you already watched the whole thing.
We gave the SEC as whopping in court and now they don't have jurisdiction over the XRP. The first coin with clarity.
there is no other crypto with that.
The whopping part is 100% correct. The first coin with clarity is not. Prometheum has SEC clarity. They followed every step they had to in order to become a security deemed by the SEC. It was all done outside of court and qualifies as regulatory clarity.
You mean this prometheum? Here's a quote from cointelegraph "In a July 12 letter, the Blockchain Association requested SEC Inspector General Deborah Jeffrey look into the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s approval of Prometheum’s special purpose broker-dealer (SPBD) license. The group also raised concerns about the means by which co-CEO Aaron Kaplan secured a seat testifying before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee in June."
They very well may have been paid off.
Yea buddy. Still though... a SPBD license is not clarity.
XRP is out of the jurisdiction of the SEC, prometheum is not.
This is true and done by Prometheum's own hand
To further back up my claims, here
Prometheum Ember Capital, a New York-based firm founded in 2021, said the approval allows it to safekeep digital asset securities on behalf of individual and institutional clients as a qualified custodian
from bloomberg. Case closed. XRP is the first coin with regulatory clarity.
lol.
I bow my head to you good sir.
It's all love. Let's get rich.
As a gentlemanly discussion should be. Yes let's get rich.
