Could be as people use basedvpn
It definitely could be. Just wanted to make sure because this is almost three times higher than the previous record for weekly subscriptions last week. Also one time a few months ago I reported 1000+ subscriptions and it turned out to be due to SolarLabs getting cyberattacked.
Yes fair enough, always should check if there are bad actors or something malicious happening
I'll double check
This is a count of Gigabyte and Hourly subscriptions per day since the very first subscription after the upgrade. I looked at the data and there are no duplicates and all are unique. It is accurate data. On August 23rd there were 1136 subscriptions. August 24th we hit our peak GB bandwidth used on the network. I can't explain why this happened, but the data is there on the chain and was submitted by blockchain txs. https://dvpn.cc/subsperday
I was always wondering how this subscriptions are counted. One subscription = one new vpn season? What's about the seaons, which are already running/ are not interpreted?
Each subscription, whether it is hourly (for x amount of hours) or bandwidth (for x amount of GB) creates a unique id to identify the subscription and type. Likewise, when white-labels begin to integrate subscription plans, each subscription plan will have its own id (like a plan for exclusive MathNodes nodes, or a plan for preferred nodes based on a scoring system). These plan ids will also contain information on what wallets are subscribed to the plan.
Thanks for the explanation 🤝 This means, that white label subscription plans will only show as one subscription on the chain, even if several wallets / users are using this plan?
