Last I heard was that twitter was still reviewing his account (so it's in readonly mode) and he hasn't regained full control back
the DoD needs to step in at this point
Ben needs a Phenixx phone
Wouldn't help against SIM swaps though 😅
You can get a private sim and actually purchase them with crypto from what I’ve heard. So therefore doing this stops sim swaps .I’m wondering if you have heard of these @CryptoFirebird
If you are looking for a burner phone number, where you don't care if you lose the sim card and need to get a new phone number, then yes, that's a solution (but then your 2FA codes won't work anymore if you lose that number). But what if you want to keep the same number in case you lose or break your phone or sim card and want it replaced? SIM swaps happen at the service provider level (like AT&T, etc..), where "hackers" can impersonate you in trying to convince them that you lost your sim and want a replacement, so they move your phone number over to a new sim card (which they then give to the impersonator). No hardware device can protect you from that. Only thing you can do is agree a pin or password with the service provider so they only move your phonenumber to a new sim if you provide them that pin/password (but some hackers are still convincing enough and have enough personal info on you to convince the person to move the phone number to a new SIM without providing that pin/password). Best is to avoid SMS 2FA altogether and go with other 2FA solutions like google authenticator, yubi key, ...
Personally I do have a pin password on mine as an additional layer of protection. I have also blocked myself from the ability to be able to use electronic sim access. Hoping this also increases my security 🤣. As far a 2fa I only use google or Authy , never SMS. Thanks u
Yes on Bitrefill I was literally living off that app when i was rich in 2021….good times 😅
