details on requirement to run a worker nodes will be published before we launch. All the latest update regards EWX and workers nodes can be read in the litepaper. https://medium.com/energy-web-insights/energy-web-releases-energy-web-x-lightpaper-and-technology-roadmap-cc7aa4af1b38

Could be, yes. I was expecting a higher amount (3k-ish) to run a worker node (also much higher APY, 20%-40%). And for others the option to delegate any amount (from 1 EWT) to a worker node (through marketplace), which then will share a portion of its APY, giving everybody the opportunity to stake just like we do now.

This scenario would be amazing, but idk about the apy looks high. Any way can't wait to hear official indications 😁

Keep in mind you will have actual costs to run a worker node that need to be earned back and on top of it you want a descent return. Skin in the game in terms of litteral stake and effort must be rewarded well. At least much better than 6%.

Cost related to the hardware yes, but accordingly to the team shouldn't require very high computational power

That's still the question indeed. It is one of my unanswered questions that we'll probably get details about soon enough. Anyway, it can't be the case that a little bit of computational power is rewarded the same as a full blown node in the cloud or at a service like Zeeve. It would be more logical that a node has a set of minimum requirements and is rewarded X amount of EWT. Not meeting the requirements will probably result in not getting the reward. Same as current validators, there should be a healtch check in place.

I'll do my best to set a personal node, trying to not use zeeve. but surely zeeve could play a nice role in providing cloud nodes

I'm running a node now at Google Cloud for around 100-ish bucks per month. Still have to set it up yourself. A service like Zeeve is managed, plug and play. That's what the difference in costs is. Anyway, there are other cloud providers that can provide the resources for much less.
