As a software architect I always look for the cleanest architecture. Pascal’s observations are compelling. I don’t see this as two competing standards, but rather as two implementations of one standard. This is the way that the Internet evolved. Sometimes you need competing implementations to improve the design. Sometimes the first attempt must yield to a better solution.
NIH syndrome is never a good thing.
No because the implementation and the features one provides over the other are completely different. Just look at the contracts. Also the circular dependency here is not entirely correct as we used DIP here. But I don’t want to get into this what is better or not. I liked the feedback but it’s a bit blunt tbh. And that is my last comment 😉.
