I think it was stated the fiat payment is converted

to dag through buying it on the open market and then given to stardust collective. does that mean constellation the company doesn't get paid for the managed service or is there some other line item in the contract or something that would compensate constellation itself?

This is my understanding as well. I like the question 🙋 u asked here too. I look forward to the answer once @criptix wakes up. 😆. Wake up. No more sleep mate 😂😁😅

Seth, I'm thinking BOTH. The license fee being to compensate those who invested their hard-earned money into this platform to get it working, without which there would be no metagraph. Then, Constellation should be compensated on an on-going basis for their services, which might not be needed that much. But I do recall Diggles saying that Constellation does NOT desire to be in the SERVICE business.

It was indeed stated in the HH that fiat would be converted to DAG and then given to Stardust. That licensing fee isn't necessary the only source of payment for Constellation - e.g. there are existing contracts that pay Constellation.
