native usdc? This is a big minus at the moment in Nexo. Already in general use elsewhere.
What do you hope to achieve with the listing ?
Get my usdc back which I accidentally sent to nexo as native coin when I didn't realize that nexo only supports usdc e coin. 😀
And that the same could not happen to others. The same mistake happened to at least several people on Reddit.
Ohh Not sure on that one.. Haven't heard. Can you exchange the native coin for another coin & try if that will work or not on Nexo?
I can't do anything about them and I can't even see them in my nexo account. According to them, the return will be possible if nexo includes the native usdc in its lists.
Ohh. Sorry I can't help. Just tried thats all..
Thanks for the feedback. I will forward it to the relevant teams!
Did you hear back on the issue with USDC on Arbitrum? I made the same mistake today and sent native USDC via Arbitrum. This feels like a trap.
You need to always double check the address and the network, usually when they add the network you will see the coin on your wallet bro. 😉
Same here I just got it solved
Hi Simeon! I did double check the address and the network because it was a serious amount of money. The thing is that this address on Nexo does not support native USDC and you have to send USDC.e After hundreds of USDC transactions between wallets and exchanges I got used that you can send native USDC and missed that you cannot send USDC from Binance to Nexo. You have to get USDC.e instead. That was my mistake and I was severely punished for it.
How did you manage to get it solved?
Hi, I didn't get any other answer than that it might be possible when they add a native token to their lists. My transfer was polygon usdc but same thing. This should be fixed quickly. Or to be bigger warnings, because the situation is now very confused.
It long methods
That is sad to hear. From a user experience perspective it seems likely to me that Nexo will integrate native USDC on Polygon and Arbitrum. Everyone is used to send native USDC around and this has a high probability of costly mistakes.
But it says it is USDC.e in the first place 🤔 how can you do that mistake..
Strictly speaking it says USDC in the first place and adds information about USDC.e when you chose Arbitrum but thanks for your input.
Hopefully. It wasn't a small amount in my case. For years I have used cryptos and I have never sent to the wrong address or network, but I did not understand this usdc and usdc e thing. Although there is a mention of it.
Really frustrating. That's why I only use USDT recently
Basically, it is due to the fact that Circle released its native USDC tokens on Arbitrum and Polygon.
I usually always use usdt but this was in coinbase as a usdc token and I thought I would send usdc to nexo and maybe exchange them there for usdt. I thought it hardly made a difference which one to send. Well now I know.
Why don't they just offer free swap to everyone?
Same question and same issue! I'm sending for years my USDC via polygon (usdc.e) without problem. All other platforms moving to circle USDC (still polygon) and Nexo staying with the old usdc.e. I'm waiting for my $3k to arrive at my Nexo wallet since one week.
I'll pass the suggestion on to the team. If you have any further feedback you can share it in this form: https://nexo-finance.typeform.com/to/GQXRetcV
Is there any update for this? more and more people are loosing their USDC when sending to NEXO. All platforms use the new native contract and NEXO hasn't update to the new one yet.
As soon as there is an update, rest assured that we will make an official announcement.
I am glad to see that the interest payments is correct again. When and how will we received the missed interest?
