Not long at all. First step would be to check etherscan to verify that transactions has gone through. If Agix are still in your eth wallet, the tokens may have not been bridged. It could also be a gas issue. If gas has spiked, transaction can take a bit longer.

I tried twice and my eth Agix remains in metamask. Is it possible for me to send the eth Agix to kucoin, and then from kucoin send it to my cardano wallet?

Make sure you dont only approve spending but also do the actual transaction
