for instance, people would approach the core team vs the other way around. Maybe not sports, but spending x% of supply on small gains is a quick way to lose the long game.
Agree
Are you trying to say partnership with sports is not worth it?
No, on the contrary I do think they are worth it. However, it has to make sense. Imagine your company has 10m in funding to start out. You use 8m for a partnership, how long will you last? On the flip side you can build up a team, foundation, revenue, and allocate funds towards partnership/sponsorships to help promote growth goals. Say you want to implement a new product line for sports apparel, then it makes complete sense.
Worth but very costly
I understand you.
I don't actually think partnership cost that much, partnership is a win win for both parties involved
Massive cost because the building isn't enough, you need the IP to be able to promote.
Getting brand recognition is Very important. The sports arena is always a good area. Now it depends on budget etc. I know its not a popular sport in the USA but Cricket sponsorships in the India Cricket league ( IPL) would be massive. The world's best players play in the league. Exposure to Blockchain tech is now more than ever and having something like this in a place with such a massive population would be great.
Yeah IPL auction happened 2 days ago
And india is the country with biggest number of crypto ownership.
It's complicated but think of it like this. I sponsor the Miami Heat and become the official sponsor. I can only use their IP inside the state of Florida with the exception of a 50 mile radius of Orlando because there is another NBA team there.
Jeez that's pretty worthless for a global product then. Does that make NFL teams a no go, or does the web work differently?
