No... Kadena would never convert away from PoW. Since you can't "stake" ... You are being rewarded for voting. Lock up your KDA by bonding it to the platform, and you will earn for voting on community initiatives - which to get access to voting, you would bond your KDA. So like a staking program, you would earn based on timeframe of locking it up.

It cant be hard for the team to set up a staking dapp where kadena deposit parts of the monthly emisions and let people stake there kda and get some % of the pool. Isnt this the simplest thing ever? Then if the staking program is for a limited time, thats up to the team.

There's no 'native' staking as such as Kadena is Proof of Work (PoW) and not Proof of Stake (PoS). Bond / Stake / Provide Liquidity to one of the dApps within the Kadena ecosystem (see @kadena_defi).
