first class citizen in all of the products on the network. On our end it’s still just treated like any other token when it comes to most of the stuff we’ve worked on - which we were looking to change in some upcoming redesigns. Who knows, maybe if we can see some adoption it could be reversed? 🤷♂️
Yes it's all about user adoption, and revenue generation.
Quite true. The opportunity was there to utilise USDT. Unfortunately, community inside eos ecosystem also ignored the opportunity offered by ptokens. It could have been a great way to bring in more liquidity to trading within the ecosystem.
Do you ever ask yourself whether it was a good idea to invest so many years of your prime into EOS? Whenever I see you in these groups, I feel sad. Wasted talent. You could have done - and could do - great things. But you’re doing it here, for what?
Aaron and his team are doing just fine 😀👍
Well ya, and Elon Musk would be doing just fine if he devoted his life to EOS. Probably not the best use of his time though. (Sad state of affairs in our society when I couldn’t think of a single famous person who wouldn’t bring out the haters - so I went with Elon)
Aaron has just been awarded huge funding for onboarding improvements etc, how impressive would it be if EOS made it back up to top 10 of cmc through Aaron and his team’s efforts
He wins the Special Olympics every year, greatest Special Olympics athlete of all time.
Maybe to receive some vodka and popcorn every month.
Ye, pTokens with huge fees and hacked contracts 🤡
At least it pioneered a way to get more liquidity and showed that there was a way to expose the eos ecosystem to more users. I know it was not perfect, but their team was always helpful in solving issues.
Oh for sure, definitely something I’ve always thought about (even before crypto). I've quit jobs because I've felt I was wasting my time. It's a meme answer, but it's true and I'll say it anyways... I'm here for the tech. After spending years here and learning everything I can, it's what still keeps me here despite the constant bloodbath in the markets. Despite all its warts its still one of the better blockchain stacks to use and develop on. I personally haven't found anything better. Maybe I've missed something somewhere else, and we certainly lack the volume of developers other ecosystems have - but there's never been a "wow" moment strong enough in another ecosystem to pull me away. At this point, after spending the past 2 years of actively working on client side SDKs, one of my biggest gripes about EOS is (mostly) addressed. Building usable dapps before was too hard, and its a whole lot better now. IMO it’s why most big projects here have failed over the years. Finally finishing that work at the beginning of this year opened up the opportunity to finally build dapps ourselves that people might actually be interested in. This will lead to more client side work that still needs resolved (onboarding, resources, etc), but at least now there's a framework to solve those problems in while we’re building more fun things. We're finally capable and working on some of the things we've wanted to for like 5 years - So I'm not sure why we'd quit now.
Thanks greymass for the great work. At present, the entire blockchain world still lacks real-world application systems based on blockchain systems. In order to improve development efficiency and reduce development difficulty, can graymass provide a set of APIs for on-chain operations, especially the Java API interface? . If a Java API can be developed in the form of a jar package, it will be very helpful for application development on the EOS blockchain.

Where would you see the 'jar' integrated?
What I'm thinking about is whether we can continue to integrate commonly used functions of EOS into the API, or do we already have these APIs? Where can I find them? For example, create an account, sign, transfer tokens, check transaction details, check token balance, and other functions.
What kinda API are u working on?
I guess you are looking for something like this: https://wharfkit.com/
Similar to this type of API. However, these APIs are js, and front-end development is more convenient. I want an API for back-end development to handle complex business logic. Java is a very popular application system development language. It would be good if there have some APIs that supports the Java development environment.
