True but it would be bad business if they didn’t distribute due to the fact they would lose a bunch clients that kept their XRP on the platform of the time. I don’t think we just need to be patient and wait for them to announce

I'm not sure where your information came from but it's completely false my friend. Nexo ADVERTISED that they would be supporting the Flare Networks airdrop. This caused many people, myself included, to transfer even more XRP onto their platform, fore the sole purpose of receiving the airdrop. A few months AFTER the snapshot was taken, Nexo then done a U-turn on this and decided that they were no longer supporting it. So yeah, please read up on it before posting nonsense 👍🏻

I guess you missed the point. Nexo promised and was one of the institutions which was verified to receive and distribute flare airdrops to members and we did not have to withdraw our assets. This was the same along with others leading institutions like celsius. Flip floping now will be a disaster

I don't recall seeing any announcement from nexo on a uturn. I do recall an announcement that they were supporting flare (no SGB at the time of course) . Can you point to the announcement where they did a 180?

Nexo should have no problem also confirming this here in the chat. They are no longer supporting Flare Networks. They have said they will still honour the airdrop but have yet to release any info on how exactly they plan on doing this

I can understand it would be annoying for exchanges to support songbird at the drop of a hat, when flare havent even delivered on the long long awaited flare token. And to have to do this in dribs and drabs over months & months. I just wish there was a way that Flare themselves would give the ability for holders to change their delivery addresses from an exchange to self custody. That would help us out a lot and remove the uncertainty.

Flare have already received our Songbird tokens. If they don't give us them its theft in my opinion and many others. We will see what happens, however, they've already put us at a disadvantage as people are already delegating their $SGB to FTSO's to earn passive income on them. If Nexo are unwilling to distribute them then they had plenty of time to ask us to provide an alternative wallet address to receive them in.

It isn’t theft, airdrops and forks happen all the time in crypto, you can’t expect custodians to support all of them, and they have no obligation to do so either. The recommended date for distribution hasn’t happen yet, so even if Nexo chooses to support SGB then you will have to wait for that. Your last sentence makes no sense, the solution you proposed as an alternative to distribution IS a distribution.

Lol, it is theft if they do not distribute it. They could simply have refused receipt of the songbird tokens if they weren't willing to distribute them, but they didn't and now have the tokens. They falsely advertised that they would be supporting Flare Networks, this is a canary chain BY FLARE NETWORKS, using the same snapshot date Nexo vowed to support.

No they had no option to refuse receiving the SGB tokens, and even if they did that would be unwise since they still haven’t decided for sure that they won’t support it. They never vowed to support all airdrops using that snapshot, they very specifically said they would support the flare airdrops, which they will distribute as promised.

I have heard NOTHING BACK from Nexo. I have spoken to my main attorney though. He told me to wait until other people are known to receive their $SGB on other platforms and then they will initiate communication via certified letter.

The only reason I deposited my XRP into Nexo was to simplify the claim of the Flare Network snapshot. They said they would support it, and I expect them to do just that.
