due to tge network running on a single client/point of access. In comparison, this would have never happened on Ethereum as it has multiple and it's therefore anti-fragile.
Does eGLD have multiple clients? How does eGLD prevent a Solana type of shutdown from happening in the face of increased transaction throughput?
Elrond has 3200 nodes located all over the world, you can see them all on explorer.elrond.com. The shutdown happened because of a 400k tps... If this happened with Elrond the transactions would be queued and cleared in a little over 24 seconds, there is also an antiflood component, as well as mechanisms to prevent forking of the chain.
