What is the benefit of storing TEL on the new

wallet app?

It all depends on what you want to do with your tel. If you just want to hold them and then maybe trade them on a centralised exchange then there is no benefit. The Telcoin wallet is on polygon which is a side chain of eth, as a result tokens have to be migrated to the polygon network via the app. This means that when you hold tel in the wallet, the tokens are no longer erc20 so you can’t send to centralised exchanges which use erc20 tokens. The benefits of being on polygon are much faster transfers, lower fees and also the ability to use DEX’s like quickswap. Currently the v3 app is really about migrating to polygon, the ability to send remittances from Canada and the USA and also the ability to hold a selection of other polygon based crypto tokens. Future updates will allow users to do so much more and start to integrate TELx as well as many other things

You don’t need to migrate your tel to polygon, only the Telcoin wallet uses polygon. If you want to keep your tel on MEW it is fine, you don’t have to do anything
