Imagine your bank automatically getting an update on your home address the second that you change residence, without that information being actually stored anywhere else. Stuff like zero-knowledge proofs will make use of your Digital ID to get confirmation without information. Like proving you are old enough to drink without disclosing your birthdate. Or proving you are a resident in a country without disclosing your home address. Elrond's smart accounts bring something unique to the table, as it is the only protocol that enables data to be stored at account level, and not in a 3rd party smart contract or offchain database.
