So tomorrow? Another 14 hours? Seriously? After 6 days! Like I like Egld, but but I can’t imagine a scenario where uniswap, pancake swap, or Binance would be under maintenance for near a week.

Stop whining. Let them get som sleep. After 6 days there is no need to rush it and deploy it during the night (for them). Better to do it during the day.

Nothings wrong with me. I actually think it’s funny that people like yourself are so one eyed you can’t see any fault in a project? I look at things from a non bias view, on one hand I own over 200 egld and over 20 mill mex, so I want the project to do well. On the other if a bank I dealt with closed locking my money up for a week dud to technical difficulties, or any other organization, I would not deal with them anymore, as I would consider it unprofessional.

It’s good you don’t see that it’s urgent, unfortunately the price of Egld dropping from $570 to $280 is because others, who have invested in the project don’t see it the same way as yourself. If Egld Dex wants to compete then it has to compete with the established Dexs, and that’s Uni snd Cake. And as I pointed out both platforms have had huge upgrades over the years, none took them offline fo a week.

but you should take into account that the DEX was only recently online and we are all just people who can make mistakes... if that happened after a few years, I would agree with you. But give these hard-working people a chance to fix bugs, even if it takes a little longer

+1 A week is too long for maintenance. I agree. Also they didn't meet 12-15h again. I hope they would launch tomorrow and this wouldn't happen again.

I’m not being over cynical, I’m just pointing out that Uni and Cake have over the years had major upgrades, I think Uni is on its third major upgrade. These are the competition to Maiar Dex, neither platform, from what I know, from their startup have been taken offline for a week for any maintenance or repair. I use the same analogy with cars, whilst I like Range Rovers, I use Landcrusiers, because they are more reliable.

Man u t the biggs mate it’s legit 1 week, technology like this takes time. How many times had traditional banking systems gone offline? Maybe not for a week but that’s becuase foundationally they have been around for 90+ years. Give the team a break 😂😂

I suppose you are in some capacity comparing apples to oranges with that though. Uniswap only had to focus on that - the DEX. Elrond has to focus on the whole protocol and how their DEX fits into that and can scale over iterations. I can certainly see it would be much more work.

That’s becuase they are strictly DEX they aren’t incorpstong a variety of different functions. If your going to complain about one obstacle you might aswell not invest in any project. You think zip and Afterpay were perfect when they first came out? Patience mate.

You should really asked yourself those questions: - are 14h really impacting my life? - should I be losing those 14h complaining on something I don't have any control over? - once I stated that I'm feeling uncomfortable with the Dex being down, what does it change to keep crying about it? Look, we get it, this situation is uncomfortable. I know some of you are relying on the money to buy dips. But the emotions you are revealing shows that you didn't spend any time studying software development and DeFi risks. You are overexposed and acting like children. The Elrond team is going through the classical stages of software maintenance, there is no surprise about the timeline as they clarified it with proper communication. What do you expect more people? Go on with your life, MAIAR Dex will be live tomorrow at noon UTC with your funds + rewards. It doesn't get any better than that.

🦊 eGLD didn't "drop" from $570 to $280. It JUMPED from around $300 to $570 because of the initial use of the Maiar DEX. Did you seriously expect the price to skyrocket nonstop for eternity? The steep correction in price was due to the Mercenary Capitalists who drained profits from the DEX en masse - which in turn revealed the need to give the overwhelming majority of rewards to those who LOCK them for a period of time to ensure sustainability of the ecosystem.

What’s the different projects, take a look at cake, it has ifo’s on it, farms, pools of about 30 new start up Crypto’s, NFts, swaps, liquidity creation. It actually does a lot more than Maiar Dex at this present time. So basically you are arguing that BSC chain and Eth Chain are at present superior to Egld? And that’s the reason Maithili Dex needs to be offline for 1 week of maintenance. That’s not a good argument.

You only talking about the 14 hours, not the 6 days it took up to the 14 hours.

No what I’m saying is , it literally just launched 😂 and because it isn’t upto your standard it’s suddenly a terrible project? Perfection takes time, all those dexs you mentioned started off originally as a DEX then started to incorporate other functionality. Maiar is the opposite. So patience is key. If your going to scrutinise every company that’s has had technical difficulty, you wouldn’t be using any company that offers technology :)

Your not wrong, but people use different dexs for different functions. There’s not going to be one of anything. I’m sure the team won’t let this happen again and your right, it probably never should have.

And that’s the problem with crypto, and why so many ppl lose so much money. I’m don’t hate Egld, I’ve owned Egld for over a year, and have about 100k invested in it. Just because I’m not a total fan boy, and I can look logically at a project and point out it’s short comings, is not a bad thing. Blind devotion and emotional attachment to projects is not how you should invest, because you will never see the problems that could lose you your entire investment.

Why do you not reply to my messages 😂 every single tech startup has technical difficulty. If you were to say that in Silicon Valley you would get laughed at. Patience is key, let the developers fix the error and continue on from there. This is probably the first issue they have ever had.

Lot's of people must have heard about elrond for the first time around these weeks, unfortunately this will not give them much confidence and that's a shame mostly because of lack of communication It's our duty in the end to help the project in these kind of times and judge the pros and cons after
