due to the faulty oracle?
Will they be compensated?
This was a serious issue. I really hope it isn’t being swept under the rug…
What was the issue
Anchor was relying on a faulty oracle a couple months ago that momentarily reported LUNAs price $10-20 below the true market price. This caused a cascade of liquidations for people whose liquidation price was well below market price
Relying on a faulty oracle?
I’m not familiar enough with oracles to understand the details. Maybe it was a malfunction? The point it that the oracle fucked up, and even though it was momentary, it still caused $37,000,000 in liquidations
Tbh I’ve never seen anyone refund for oracle fail except binance
It was talked about a lot. Even DK had a long thread about it. I wish I could find it again… The reimbursement proposal was put to a vote but was dead in the water. It’s very disappointing. I lost 30% of my bag The worst part is no one acknowledges it anymore
Yea I’m not sure. Seems like there would be a pretty hard time to figure out who was liquidated and not
you gotta dyor before making ignorant statement. The original proposal was put up without discussion and it proposed to use the ozone fund. There's already a newer post on this from Anchor: https://forum.anchorprotocol.com/t/proposal-oracle-refund/1946?u=bitn8 ffs dyor
Thank you very much! Sorry for my lack of understanding. I love Terra, but I’m still getting my Web 3.0 training wheels off haha (Which is why my original post was asking admins for a simple update) 😊
