Hi — I've always used the Elrond web wallet, but

now I'm trying to import that wallet into Maiar app, but the Maiar app only wants a 12 word secret phrase for the import. But my Elrond Web wallet has a 24 word secret phrase....sooo what am I doing wrong?

You will want to make sure you have the right app in your phone :) try a new install, and make sure you download the right app.. maybe try from website maiar.com
