Can someone please confirm what is the process of buying

crypto coins using card? Is it like buying subscriptions or shopping with card from a foreign company? I just talked to my bank and they are giving me contradicting information. On one hand, they are telling me my Visa debit card is eligible for zero forex charge for buying something from overseas. And at the same time they are saying, my bank doesn't allow to transfer funds directly to a foreign bank. I need to use wire or something like that (I have no idea what it is). This whole thing is making it confusing for me. I used my card in the past to buy Tidal subscription from the USA and it worked perfectly. Not sure if it's the same way to use the card to buy coins as I have never done it before
