Hey guys, not sure if I missed this somewhere above,

but since the percentages will be split when these new dTokens are added, does that also mean the APR % for the current dTokens will decrease?

Mostly yes Just compare the percentage value new and old

The APR depends on the size of the pool (ie, how much is put in there in total) vs the DFI reward from that pool. Whilst the DFI reward can go down (as will be the case now the new assets have arrived), if there is also an outflow of capital from the existing pools (eg, to the new assets), then this will counteract the lower rewards. These two factors probably won't balance themselves out though

Thanks for the info, DZ and David. Yikes. Personally I'd prefer higher APR and less dTokens so I can just keep the investments in the dTokens I currently have at the current APR... strange the decision was made by the Team to add these new dTokens so soon and further cut the rewards percentages down just for the sake of having an increased number of dTokens. Once the dToken amount has increased to 50 as per the plan, the pool APR's will become pretty diluted if following this same % sharing formula, no? what do you guys think? Also, do you know if the DUSD/DFI pool Rewards % will continue not be shared with any new dTokens and remain at 50% through all the dToken additions? If so, that would likelty make it the highest paying pool (depending on the numbers of investors in each pool, etc. as you guys have pointed out).

I'd prefer the reverse. DeFiChain is going for a better financial system, not one where people are more focused on rewards. That's why, in my opinion, it was a great idea to add these new dTokens. Now we have even more tokens we can invest in and be more diversified. Additionally, just because the reward percentages were cut doesn't mean there is less APY. Now people will get out of current pools and enter the new ones, so the APY for the old ones might go down at first but then it will be near the same as if there were no new tokens added. :)

Thanks for pointing that out. I wasn't considering the "greater good" for DefiChain there. And I like the positivity on the percentages 🙂 I guess time will tell

It isn't just you, I get caught up in making money too sometimes, you know. We all do. And, the percentage changes shouldn't be too much. It isn't going to fall to 60% or something like that. :)

Hahaa, yeah I know we all like to make money eh! that's why most of us were attracted to DefiChain in the first place. Community/Product building & enhancement are a great bonus and definitely worthwhile considerations as well when it comes to project decisions

When you don't focus on money, money comes to you. Just work on adding new features, more coins, hardware wallets, etc. and people naturally gravitate towards DFI. That's why I put $1,000 in this project. So many scam projects or just projects in general that are focused on making money. They will never work.
