Coincidence?? don't know, but last thursday i faced the same problem. According to EVMexplorer the transaction was done, but the value never arrived in kucoin.

What address did you copy from Kucoin when sending from Metamask? On Kucoin there are two deposit/withraw option for vlx. Vlx(native) and VLX-EVM, when sending from Metamask you need to make use of VLX-EVM
