Question

Hey Paws, do you recall how long nodes remain jailed

before they are allowed to participate again in consensus? It can’t be indefinite for the first offense and it sounds like Sikka failed to update some of their nodes in time which resulted in the offense… just curious if you knew off hand before I went digging.

They have to unjail themselves, but can get back in to the queue in the next epoch •Once a Validator is unstaked or jailed, they will finish their Validator duties until the end of the current epoch, and will then be replaced by the Validator that is next in line from the Staking Queue, starting with the next epoch • The first time a Validator is unJailed, it is assigned to the front of the Staking Queue • The next times the same Validator is unJailed, it is assigned the end of the Staking Queue
