Hello CF team and the +27k members here 👋🏻 I have

been a big fan of Cardano for many years and I wanted to share my ongoing struggle to keep up with its vibrant ecosystem.

TLDR: News/updates about community projects are fragmented across the web. Hence it difficult for the casual observer to stay informed and get a sense of just how active Cardano's ecosystem truly is.

I suggest dedicating some form of an daily feed (eg. Telegram channel) that focuses exclusively on community activity/achievements to bring visibility and discoverability to the forefront; something current mainstream crypto news sites are hardly interested in perusing let alone publish.

Long version: As we all know, the Cardano community is very active and blockchain development is only accellerating. But because of its permissionless nature, I find myself occasionally missing out on various news, announcements or updates —perhaps this occurs more often with the general public, hence the false perception of a "ghost chain"? 🤔

I mean, I habitually check the Cardano subreddit, various Twitter feeds, several YouTube channels, blog posts, and Telegram channels, yet some things still manage to slip through the cracks.

Just as an example: I only recently discovered an interesting NFT project that had been in development for over a year because it was showcased on a particular podcast episode.

Furthermore, I might be following known projects closely today, but soon enough, new projects pop up that are not likely be under anyone's radar unless they were actively being sought out.

Conversely, projects that got great exposure at an early stage of their development but failed to maintain enough buzz through to final release, got forgotten.

As I kept looking for more ways to keep myself informed, I discovered the Cardano Digest/newsletter, which is great, but its content is still primarily focused on core of Cardano (Hydra, Mithril, CIPs, etc..)?

The Cardano360 videos are phenomenal in helping developers get discovered, but I feel that their monthly release rate is not appropriate for smaller/granular project achievemets.

I am under the impression that the CF is very cautious about the endorsement/promotion of 3rd-party stake pools and DeFi projects to avoid liability, spreading of scams, etc.. but I would love to see a curated community-exclusive feed —maybe a Telegram channel since it already hosts the largest number of members?— that aggregates/consolidates most of the community activity (moderated by Ambassadors to throttle spam rate?).

Please let me know your thoughts 😀

Hi Abdulla, Welcome, and thank you for sharing the story of your journey/struggle. Indeed, things move pretty fast in this environment, and it’s not easy to keep up with every development or project-launch. There are many Community members who have also realized this and have even started initiatives to provide what is now being called ‘news as a service’. But even with these wonderful initiatives it still remain difficult to keep up to track with every single development. Finding a single source that covers everything that goes on in our ecosystem is in my opinion impossible, and if someone would be able to do so, the amount of time it would consume to put all this together, I think it probably might come at a $ cost. The mediums you mentioned are great. I’m personally responsible for the Community Digest. We try to cover the most noteworthy events, without focusing too much attention to a single project (though you might see mention of one or two once in a while.). It is a good source and I would definitely recommend subscribing. Besides this, and the other mediums you mentioned, I would also recommend following two or three other Community members who are known to provide daily updates (just keep in mind they are not covering every single thing). Some personal digging and searching might still be required, depending on what type of news / projects you are interested in. I’ll be happy to help you find your way if needed. Just drop me a DMf.

There is already a cardano news digest released every 2 weeks i think. It gets posted here, but you can also find it at forum.cardano.org
