XRP has been around for years. Because of the lawsuit,

the price and adoption has been surpressed. The question I have is during the time that XRP has been around, are there other coins/technologies that have been developed that do the same thing as XRP? Maybe better? Or not? I'm trying to understand why people are so hyped about XRP when it seems like the technology has been around for a long time and there might be better alternatives (I don't know what those would be). If nothing is better, I'd like to know why and what would prevent banks from ditching XRP in favor of something else that pops up.

I think HBAR and CSPR? maybe just as good...but im leaning towards xrp.

XRP is one of the best in what it does, however it needs to add smart contract capabilities i think it will then take an even bigger chunk of current volume

Because Ripple is the only company thats is expanding rapidly through the financial system, you can argue that theres other projects that is better but there are nothing compare to XRPs ODL utility and banking adaptation
