it's a CBDC system and we'll have to find out over several months how they are planning to interconnect. In a FedNOW paper, "Ripple" was described as an example for how FedNOW wants to operate. I am actually pretty sure that they will interconnect with Ripple services at some point, but IF a transparent public token like XRP would play any role in that is highly questionable for reasons I've described dozens of times before in this chat.
