I was looking into Everest ID project that also tries

to link tradfi and defi - I was reading an ama transcript of their CEO in which I read the following sentence in regards to financial regulations (in which they also believe quite strongly) .... Similarly, one of Everest’s patent-pending inventions is to enforce financial regulations in smart contracts .... for me this is the first time I see crypto projects trying to get patents ... as AllianceBlock is also doing regulation stuff ... I was wondering if this would be of any concern having patents of similar elements Alliance Block is focusing on ... @Agorajix ? Anyone heard of crypto projects trying to protect their know how with patents ?

Only patent I've heard of in the crypto space is the hashgraph algorithm that Hedera use
