From the article on our DAO - DAO Structure Who is eligible to become a DAO participant? Anyone interested in the AllianceBlock ecosystem can let his voice be heard during governance discussions on Discord and Commonwealth, and anyone holding over 5,000 ALBT will gain a vote for proposals shared on Snapshot. At the AllianceBlock DAO, all votes are created equal, except for holders who have signaled long-term commitment. For example, long-term ALBT holders can have additional votes for participating in Fundrs and the long-term staking (4-year Hardcore No Mercy) campaign that has been launched. Initially, the DAO structure is designed to support the transition towards decentralization, with clearly defined roles that can be handed over from AllianceBlock management to the community over time. Roles are defined as follows: DAO Contributors — DAO participants who are eligible to vote on proposals. This is composed of the community of ALBT holders, but that may change subject to a vote. DAO Committee — A group of DAO contributors that creates and vets proposals. At launch, members from the AllianceBlock foundation will form the DAO Committee until its roles and appointments are decided through decentralized governance.
