It is to claim your rewards.

Let me rephrase that. I am in the 4 year staking pool so my initial input will be locked for 4 years. But if click the claim button will it send them to my metamask wallet? Or does it restake them?

You don’t have to restake them, the pool will automatically compound once a month. The reward will only be available to withdraw after the end of the 48 months period.
