want to hold for years and not sell but I have a question, how will cake maintain its high apy? I mean will they come up with other staking pools or ideas if apy goes down?

Apy isn’t constant. It could go high or low. And some factors is above APR reflects the simple interest rate over a year's time, while APY describes the rate with the effect of compounding.

APR/APY values are influenced by: - Cake price - Liquidity for that reward token which is related with price - Total staked cake amount in that pool - Total reward token allocation / reward per block for that pool - Token’s price
