What is pancake swap doing about the plethora of fake

clones out there clouding and blocking you from getting "New and novice" investors? It seems like there are tons of fakes and just 1 good one, so if a new user comes looking for pancakeswap and is not aware or have never seen the "REAL" pancake swap, goes on google to look for it (remembering that any attempt to even put a url directly will take you to the scams faster), and get bitten to learn the terrible lesson of the real pancake swap buried in a haystack. it cost me $1500 to learn this terrible lesson, and it seems you guys aren't doing nothing to hunt down these fake sites that are taking away your brilliance and glory. I don't use pancake swap that much so I fell victim. That's on me, and a very expensive lesson. But where the real pancake swap gets its share of the problem is that I am not even going to consider looking for pancakeswap no matter what because the day I make a mistake, like today, it'll be very expensive. I will feel safer trading on an exchange that actively works hard to hunt down scammers to protect their investors and users. I'm very glad I have a ledger wallet so I can be sure they are not coming back for more. A very expensive lesson for me indeed, but lesson learnt.

its 100% fault from user

We can only warn them, give them proper directions on how to protect their wallets/ funds. We are in a DEx environment, thus its one of the Cons. unliKe CEX, they can delist a token, but its not a Decentralized environment. As for Ledger, be sure that you wont approve a malicious contract

its not PCS fault, you can install an antiphishing or a plugin to detect scam sites, mcafee webadvisor for example is a free plugin on chrome

yea because there's a 99% chance that if you don't know the one and only real one, you'll lose your money. If there are 100 scam sites, only 1 of them is the true one. 99% are scams. And most people will end up on the 99% if they're not aware of this

How do you know that PancakeSwap doesn’t do a lot to tackle scammers? They can’t exactly remove the sites or scammers themselves can they? All they can do is report, report and report and hope the authorities/Google act on those reports. A huge part of crypto is down to the user. This isn’t traditional banking.

Wrong. Most people are smart enough to access the site via the official Twitter. Not saying you aren’t, but that’s the truth. Most people who get scammed get attacked by fake admins. Not fake sites.

That is the problem you should be solving. The person who can avoid it is one who knows the EXACT URL of pancake swap. 99% of the world will "google" what they need

Damn, yeah... nothing can be done tho. You must bookmark and check URL is right. Sorry for your loss... this thing here is risky. But yeah, somebody should track down those guys who register that fake-pcs domain

1. Pancakeswap always warn about scam and fakes websites. 2. Pancakeswap constantly reports any scam websites and a lot have been taken down 3. Next time u should always confirm or double check yourself by checking properly 4. To be safe, always use the dapp browser link in the Trust Wallet , SafePal to access dex.

PancakeSwap do not own Google. All they can do is like I said. Report fake sites. Which I 100% know from talking to the Devs that they do. I get that you got scammed and are upset but you are not telling the facts.
