be taken into consideration in order to have performance and best practice when creating database tables in applications with a high number of users. I am trying to find useful and guiding resources, documentation, etc. are there?
(I aim to use Node.JS as back-end, React as front-end and PostgreSQL as DB)
Thank you from now.
My recommendations are to use simple table structures. Artificial Primary Keys (ID BIGINT). If the IDS are going to be passed around for editing purposes on the web pages... I prefer UUID and or ULID. UUIDv7 because they are sortable and more performant than just any UUID. Worry more about good clean logic and basic concepts of normalization. Think about ALL of the ways the data may be used in the future.
