Dead end even after following instructions step by step.
Paste here a result of apt-cache policy mysql-server
Here what I have: first of all: sudo apt-get update Then I check available version: root@98200ebde988:/tmp# apt-cache policy mysql-server mysql-server: Installed: 8.0.36-2ubuntu3 Candidate: 8.0.36-2ubuntu3 Version table: *** 8.0.36-2ubuntu3 500 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Then I install it using mysql-server=<version> root@98200ebde988:/tmp# apt-get install mysql-server=8.0.36-2ubuntu3 ... And it is successfully installed. Your error tells that you're doing it wrong, there is no package mysql-server-5.7, try mysql-server=5.7 or what version is available
Thank you! It's solved.
