Forth's compiler simply can't be modified in an easy way to allow for this. It also is not type safe, and should only be used for prototyping and for rapid development in embedded programming. "
Me: "While that is correct, Forth does teach a programmer to write memory efficient programs and teaches regional memory management and such. "
