the first interview you're taking and you answer that honestly, you're screwed.
Ain't that true for all interviews? I mean, ain't people looking other offers always? what's the right answer?
To be honest (ironically), I learned to put on the politician's mask when facing such questions. It's an art and a social skill to avoid answering a question when answering a question
No matter what, you are currently swimming in offers that you're considering. You want to give them time pressure and the idea that if they don't hire you ASAP, they're going to lose you. The hiring process is terrible for them, finding the right people is hard, use it, they're using your weaknesses too.
I see, they expect you feel the same about their offer, I guess
Is there some blog or anything with these kind of advises? looks pretty useful for those like me who haven't tried to get a job, ever.
For me the right answer is: no answer :) but it requires quite some experience to succeed. Being honest always puts you in a disadvantage in both ways. What's even more interesting is that you being honest might even hurt the business. You see, hiring isn't free, it's extremely expensive. If they don't hire you - they've lost money and time. (Of course if they hired you and you lied too much and you can't actually do the job then both of you are screwed)
