with a Flutter project, it freezes and crashes. I see many Dart processes being activated, taking up to 8-10GB of memory. This makes it practically impossible for me to work. I didn't have any issues until a few days ago.
I have a MacBook M1 with 8GB of RAM and have never had problems before. Do you know if it's an issue with VSCode? Any advice?
Additional information:
The problem occurs with any Flutter project I open.
If I kill a Dart process, it regenerates immediately and still takes up a lot of memory.
Thanks a lot to anyone who can help me.
Did you update sth recently (vscode/flutter)?
No, after the problem I uninstalled vscode and reinstalled the latest version but nothing. I have installed Firebase CLI, but I don't think it can cause the problem. The project I'm opening doesn't use Firebase but I still have the same problem. I do not know what to do
the problem is only there when I start a flutter project. If I open vs code without opening projects nothing happens
Try with another ide then
Done, but nothing. Also tried installing an older version ...
did you try clean install, like removing the cache data as well ?
I think so, I uninstalled vscode from mac. To be sure and I also delete the cache where should I see? From ~/Library there doesn't seem to be anything...
sorry I am not a mac person 😅
