Question

Does someone has tutorial how to upgrade mysql 5.6 to

8 when it's replication (master+slave)?
should i first upgrade 1 slave to 5.7 then have another slave of 5.7 to this 5.7
then upgrade the second slave to 8?

From my experience, replication from a higher vers...

But I'm not doing high to low. I will do 5,6 to 5.7 and 5.7 to 8. Did u try this?

From my experience, replication from a higher version to a lower version isn't a recommended one.. therefore, I recommend you upgrade all the dependent replica's first then go with primary.
