from 14.6 to 14.9. Do we have to look into all? Not able to understand all
There are multiple things mentioned here - https://www.postgresql.org/docs/release/14.10/
As I don't know what you are doing, I would check the changes to see, what might break the applications.
I just want to update my version 14.6 to 14.10
If you just don't care about broken apps and data corruption, do whatever you like, but don't blame me for the results.
LOL. Do you want to do that WITH or WITHOUT working searches? Index Problems, Strange Results? You are updating a complex piece of software that you RELY ON. You should be able to read the list of changes, and comprehend how they will impact you. If you can't, you take that LIST to your manager and ask who you should check it with. And you do ALL of that BEFORE you even think about upgrading. There are a lot of times where you have to re-index your tables after the upgrade. Or there are certain pieces of code, whose function has been changed, that you relied on. YOU, as the consumer, of the product should have a process to review this.
I have verified my database is not using any GiST OR BRIN indexes, there are several things mentioned apart from indexes which I am really not able to understand reading it.
Even that is documented and I have shared the link to this documentation with you.
