Merge commit because it's easy to see the history and easy to revert too. Rebase is harder to revert and squash nukes the history

I've never done rebase/squash before, looks like it could get complicated quickly so I'll prob stick to regular merge 🥲

these are not alternate to each other. Depending upon the situation any of these can be used as well like the other commands
