I can't boot the installed os
When turned on it directly goes to the bios and the hard drive is missing from the boot options
Can someone please help?
the wiki can help
Retrying with that
some of the choices in the linked article are so fucking terrible
Disregard everything you just did and reinstall following the wiki.
There are some rules when dealing with arch linux Rule 0: Always use/follow the arch wiki. Rule 1: Do the above. Rule 2: Follow Rule 1
good episode
Yeah i read that but it doesn't creates a home folder thats why i used that video
And it didnt create user other than root
I followed that 3 times already and all of them failed
But it does. There's a whole section on creating users
Arch wiki guide
I didn't noticed it sorry lemme double check
Point to the exact section you're having trouble with
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/installation_guide#Partition_the_disks here they are only creating efi swap and a root
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/General_recommendations its here. Talks about post installation, creating groups, users, settings up touchpad, etc
linux-headers, netctl, wpa_supplicant as explicit, and more stuff they already mentioned
How can i create a home directory?
-m in the useradd command
this is my opinion but i don't like creating artificial barriers (partitions) on the same physical disk unless absolutely necessary. if that thing fails, all partitions will fail. ~ signed by btrfs gang
